Wymersley Benefice

Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
As part of our Christian faith, we believe that our churches should be safe spaces where all individuals can come to worship and meet with the Lord. We are committed to ensuring that everyone, especially children and vulnerable adults, feels safe, respected, and valued. Following Jesus’ command to love our neighbours as ourselves (Mark 12:31), we recognise the responsibility we have to protect those in our care. This includes providing an environment where all can experience God’s love and grace without fear or harm. Safeguarding is an essential part of our duty as Christians, and we take it seriously and recognise that safeguarding is the responsibility of the whole Church
All of our churches are committed to following government and Church of England guidelines on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and good working practice, including safer recruitment of volunteers and paid workers
